My friend is leaving to Seattle in the first week of march.I want to get this cool gadget as it isnt released in india yet.Do i get international warranty. Amazon.com says US Version WarrantyWould it be a gud option to get it from US or wait until it releases in india if there are planning to..

PS:I am not really cared about warranty,but i have heard that some pieces of this particular phone are coming with faulty microphone.

You should be covered by Nokia's international one year warrenty.

Nope, Nokia's warranties are by region: a device bought in the US will get only US warranty. Similarly a device bought in the European Union gets a warranty valid in the European Union (+Switzerland and a handful of other european countries)...
