*Open the shutter-cover.

*Click on the big A (for automatic)

*Bottom of the screen choose 'automatic video'

*Use the shutter button to start and stop

N900 does pretty good video in good lighting.

Make sure you don't try to pause the recording. If you do it will end the recording. Which is the gayest part of the software lack of functionality. Don't tell others who has Iphone, Sony Ericsson Satio or people that your video camera cannot do a pause while recording. Because they will mocking you until you want to hang yourself and swallow your device at the same time.

Oh yes, the iPhone users will be so smug, having waited how many years to actually get video recording built-in?

A couple of years I think. But that is not the case here. They will mock our N900 for being 3years younger and still can't do a simple video recording pause and resume.

I missed this function on my N95 so much. I just wish my N900 has those camera function the N95 has and also other stuffs lol. But yeah i've been mocked by the Iphoner many times regarding the N900 cannot do portrait mode and cannot zoom in the gallery using on screen touch or something. I hate the keypress because it is not smooth.
Being a touch screen device, I guess having touch focus would be the neatly thing ever but I hope it get implement in PR1.2

Why is it so ******ed the way the video recording is set up. If you don't know it exists you would think it was absent from the device. And even if you know finding how to record is a real task. There should not have to be a thread about this. It should be so obvious. I have recorded a few times but I am sure if I go back to try it will take me time to figure it out again.

lol I know, Some people just never know how to read the user guide manual that came with the N900. I don't even read anything just start using it on the day I opened it. My manual is sitll pristine lol. But I am the type who doesn't leave any holes unexplored.
