I'm new to unix ad just picked up a N800. I am trying to load the fmradio
and consistantly get an application failure. " Application packages missing: libosso-help0 (>=2.0.8). Would anyone know how to get around this or where
I can download the 2.0.9-1 deb file?

Are you installing via application manager? Have you added any repositories to your application manager? If you do it, installation of pretty much everything is a breeze.

TablaRasa, This unit is right out of the box. I'm using the application
manager and I have not added any respositories. I have added the oss
xterm, and the fmradio.deb file was downloaded to a memory card
and transfered into my documents folder. What would you suggest
I do to enhance this toy ;-)

.deb files are difficult to install because of dependency issues. My sucess with them have been 50/50 at best. It is best to install via repositories or .install files witch seem to add the required repositories for you.

You can get .install files by browsing (preferably with your n800) to http://downloads.maemo.org/ and the FM radio program can be found here:

http://downloads.maemo.org/multimedia/

Edit:
After you install it you can run it by clicking "Home" (top of screen when no programs are running,) then "Select Applets..." then "FM radio."
