I have a kind of... problem. My primary keyboard layout is the scandinavian one with only left and right keys, but adds scandinavian letters. But for some games like Assassins Creed and Brothers in Arms, i need to change it to the English one in order to play correctly. So, my idea would be that the launcher does the job for me: when the game launches, it changes the layout, and when the game's process is done, it will change back. (I know how it works, no worries. I'll just use &&.) However, i dont know how the layout changes. Is it a GConf key, a file, or what is it?
Is it possible to change it through Xterm at all?
I've tried catching the process that runs when it changes layout, but without luck.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I got some news... i found the GConf keys for the keyboard!
It's just about interpreting what they refer to.
I used GConf-editor to find them. This is the location: /apps/osso/inputmethod/
these are those i see as most likely to be what I'm looking for:
slide-layout
int_kb_layout
Both have close to the same string... just in different formats. (slide-layout uses dano, other uses Danish, Norwegian.)
I also made another discovery... there is a key which seems to refer to handwriting. Removed feature from Maemo 4?

Solved: /apps/osso/inputmethod/int_kb_layout is the key.

Looks like you did all of your own work there. Well done.

Yeah, the handwriting recognition was a feature of Maemo 4, it looked something like this:
