hi i am trying to upgrade to latest firmware am currently on version 2.2009.5.1-1.203.2
when i go to update it says no update available can anyone tell me how it can be forced

Most likely you are in the UK, or have a UK device.
The upgrade is not available here yet (Unless you manually flash)

yeah am in uk and thank you for your help it explains why any idea when we likely to get it over here ?

That question has spawned thread after thread of discussion - i recommend doing a search

But possibly (just my take) - is that it is being bundled into the next big firmware update (PR1.2) - Which may or may not be due very soon....

(And for various rumours and reasons)

To be honest, Nokia never say dates, and never tell us why, so rumours and speculation is the best you will get!

Nokia UK/Vodafone is probably going to wait for 1.2... Or they just won't bother!

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.
