I was checking the setting and stuff in my n900, i touched the "settings" and a menu came out that has " restore original settings"
"clear device" and "enter code to remove operator clock"
i hit the "clear device" by mistake and it deleted every thing except the applications, i keep a backup copy of every thing in it every time i put something new, but the backup files were also deleted.
Any help plz to get back the backuo files or to restore every thing as it was before what happened.

Good question!

I don't know if it may work or not, but you could try for plugging in your n900 to your computer in storage mode, and run a recovery soft on it.

I'm gonna make a little test right now to see if it works.

EDIT:

I just tested deleting a file (a video file) from the file manager, plugged in in usb storage mode, and run Recuva on it, and i could recover the file, also with some other deleted music files.

Hmm, isn't there a confirmation message that pops up before actually clearing MyDocs?

E: Yes, there is, not sure how you managed to click two buttons in opposite sides of the screen by mistake...

You can try a scan and see if your backup files can be recovered
Unless the clear device do a full wipe of the data, or you installed something that may overwrite the physical space where the backup files were stored, i think you would be able to restore it.

Good luck!
