I have had to send my phone in to get checked out to Nokia. I haven't really noticed that I rarely used my laptop while I had my phone. I have the old n95 8gb with me but it is definitely not the same. The phone is awesome with some drawbacks but I have to say that it is bugging me that I don't have my phone.

I think whatever Nokia may decide to do about Maemo 6 or MeeGo this phone is cool as is... with a couple more updates of course. It may take a little longer to do some things on the internet without the applications but the fact that we don't really need applications to access most services is awesome.

I just may get flamed for this but quit *****in' and suck it up. I used to complain but now I have come to terms with one of the best phones at market today. It is a jack of all trades phone for people that don't do the normal things with their phone.

We all know what it is like to be on the edge of technology and things take time. Android didn't just bust heads when it was introduced and we see what is happening with WebOS-glad I don't have a Pre. Apple is at the summit and we are too, we just happen to be in a different location

So Peace, Love, and Hair Grease.

P.S. Since we have the n900 we might as well wait and see if there is something better coming out in the next 18 months. Cause we all know we are not using this thing as a phone that long. I know I'm not. Longest phone is 11 months and everything else gets resold.

So Smoke, Choke, Just Not on Dope!

My N900 was away for two weeks beimng repaired, that was 13days and 23hrs too long.

I too wwent back to my N95 and it was hell, and previously I loved the thing. When my N900 was returned I very nearly had a ceremonial burning of the N95

It is amazing though how I too found my laptop usage fall dramatically.

Enough with all this smaltzing, now any idea when PR1.2 is out

N900 is becoming a bit of a joke now, its such a pity Nokia rushed this thing out incomplete. How can we be in the situation 4 months since release still with such massive features missing. Just look at the HD3, my lord Nokia have got some competing on their hands, even their leaked N8 is going to have a hard time. Thanks for messing the customer around again Nokia a la N97.

man i got to admit that my Laptop is abandon for nearly 3months now after I got the N900. My Desktop is on the same league as my laptop and haven't been on at all for serveral weeks. I turned it on to updates lol that's about it.

So here we go Hallelujah to Nokia, they completely saving my power bills for 3months already

I hadn't really thought about it, but I really don't use my laptop as much either. Although to be fair, this forum is much easier to read on a laptop. Being a Maemo forum, shouldn't there be a "mobile site" optimised for a 800x480 screen?

You could try the "Minimalist" theme.

Actually, Maemo.org is one of the best sites to view on the N900. (In my opinion, at least.)
It loads fast, and is readable easily.
