AFAIK, it's not possible on a native Win7 64bit machine because there is no driver for the N900 that can run on these specs.

But it's possible to use the virtual XP Mode for flashing the device.

I have an old laptop laying around that runs XP. Think it's safe to use that to reflash?

I couldn't reflash my N900 on Windows 7 64 bit either, went back to my installation of Vista on a separate partition and that failed too so I downloaded the Ubuntu Live CD and did it that way. Was reflashed and ready to go in a bout 5 minutes after that...
