I was looking at the n900 pdf manual and did I read it right where it says inroder to use the speaker phone when talking to someone live you ahve to put them on hold first to access more call options like speakerphone?

Also hows the phone part of the n900 works doe sit work good? Also I have a contacts stored on my actaul t-mobile sim card will I be able import them into the n900 like others phones do? Thanks

No. Just tap the 'speaker' button - it's a large button right on the screen during an active call.

Works very well for me for 10-20 calls a day. It does NOT have every calling feature some phones do like setting individual ringtones, etc. Make sure it does what you want/need before buying.
