Dear All,
I did backup 1 for my N900 after that I restored the messages.
I delete the old messages and i got new messages. there is any way to restore the old messages which is existed in the backup 1 with keeping the new messages?? Please help

rmoravcik's commandline tools may be of assistance, if you can get your backup into csv format.
Or maybe backup again, restore the old backup, export messages to csv and then revert and merge. Seems a bit long-winded - there's probably a better way.

thanks for your reply and sorry to tell that i am civil engineer and i never heard about csv format. if you van make your explanation step by step please.

can you find the place where the backups are?

if you have backupped to microsd, try searching something like
Code:
/media/mmc1/backups/insertthenameofyourbackuphere/comm_and_call.zip
and copy it for example to 27gb internal memory root and move to your pc for analyzing

cp /media/mmc1/bakcups/insertthename..../comm_and_call.zip /home/user/MyDocs

I don't have micro sd. I am using the mobile memory.
