After unlocking the device with the side slider, the first tap on the screen always seems to "go" to the center of the top instead of the top left (where I actually clicked). This only seems to happen if the device has been locked for a while. IE, locking and then immediately unlocking the screen does not make this bug occur.

I've had this problem through several firmware updates and screen recalibrations.

I have this issue too. It most certainly need the device to be locked for a good while, and it sometimes works.

I have been having the behaviour with MicroB, when it's not in full-screen mode. When I then click the application changer icon, it opens the menu instead! Also on desktop it sometimes opens the menu instead of the intended application switcher/menu action.

Anyone else affected? Is there a bug report yet?

I have this issue sometimes. Also, when you tap in the centre of the top bar, application closes, so affected area is shifted from area you tap. Can't find proper way to reproduce, so I didn't report any bugzzz... Anyway I don't remember this issue with my new N900, it started after first firmware update.

It's certainly something I can live with... But if I keep bumping into it more often than I do now (maybe once in one-two days) I'll file a bug report.

Or, if more people are affected...

This seems to be happening more and more often. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix or bug report?

Yep, happens to me too. I understand there is a fix in PR1.2 - check the update log.

Cheers,

Barrie

I confirm this bug. Sometimes the only buttons that work on desktop are menu and status area buttons. i can slide the screen and chance desktops but pressing shortcuts does nothing. Pressing longer activates desktop editing mode as it should. Reboot fixes this always but only for a +-day or two.
