Is there a fix to run the latest version of Scummvm, as I think I may have changed something in its settings menu accidentally, and ever since then, when I have run it, I see a back screen for around 5 seconds, then it closes immediately. I am unable to do anything, and whilst the black screen shows, no buttons make any difference- just as uninstalling then reinstalling Scummvm makes no change, I still see the black screen.. thanks if anyone knows how I can get it working again-or how to do a full uninstall of the program, as the built in uninstall from the applications menu does not get rid of it fully! thanks

try this:

sudo gainroot
cd /home/user
rm .scummvm
rm .scummvmrc

thanks for that-i tried the previous action for the 100th time anyway, and for some reason... it worked!

1-i entered "rm /home/user/.scummvm" and it told me "this is a directory"

2-then I entered "rm /home/user/.scummvmrc"
i got no message in reply, so I quit x-terminal, and then ran scummvm.. its now working again!

i think the first action that gave me the "this is a directory" reply seems to have done the trick, perhaps it made the phone recognise the correct location first, or something similar, before it would let me delete anything... very odd. thanks anyway!
