Not sure, but maybe one of the voice recorder apps can do this. Something like voiceNote - free from the ovistore - or similar. I think it was VoiceNote that you could change the audio output to earpiece. Maybe worth a look.
EDIT:My apologies. It was recaller. It might do what you want, it might not.

OK, actually just found the way to do it:
alsamixer -c 0
Unmute Mono DAC
Unmute Earphone
Enable Earphone Function
Enable Left DAC_L1 Mixer Mono
Enable Right DAC_R1 Mixer Mono
Disable Speaker Function (unless you wanna hear sound from both the earphone and the speakers).
alsamixer -c 0
Unmute Mono DAC
Unmute Earphone
Enable Earphone Function
Enable Left DAC_L1 Mixer Mono

I'd like to know whether there's any way of playing an audio file through the N900 earphone (earphone = the speaker used for phone calls when no headphones are connected and the speaker function is off). I kinda need this because sometimes I need to listen to such files when I don't have headphones around and I don't want to force anyone around to listen as well.
