I was wondering if it was possible to map a number of keys to the camera button (e.g ctrl shift X etc) so that I only need to press the camera button instead of opening the keyboard and breaking my fingers just to do certain shortcuts.

or if you can't code... not that i have any experience on maemo, but i think you could use xbindkeys found here: http://kumatux.org/Applications.html to map it to those keys. think i remember doing something similar on my laptop for my media keys before they were handled natively by my os.

I attempted to use that and came across so many problems (dependencies etc)
