hi, i recently reflashed my n900.

and what i found was that : the music and pictures and videos and contacts i had in there, were still in there after reflashing.

and also about an hour after reflashing, the rootsf has 25mb left, which leads me to believe that some old stuff were left in there after reflash.

is it normal that it does that?

thanks

For your data to remain is normal with the current firmware flash.

To clear the phone you will need to flash with the EMMC image first to blank all data, then flash again with the latest firmware.

rootfs is flashed with fiasco (normal reflash), emmc clears the 2gb /opt, /home/user/MyDocs etc folders.

so rootfs is always cleaned if firmware is flashed.
