Has anyone tried sending pictures from their phone to the n800 and gotten it to work?

I have my phone ( a samsung a940) setup as a trusted device on the n800. I can use the phone to connect to the net without any problems and I've gotten vcards sent from the phone to the n800 to appear in the contact list. But when I attempt to send a picture and I tell my phone to search for a target device (yes bluetooth is turned on and the n800 is visible) it doesn't find the n800.

Does this mean that the phone is looking for a service that the n800 doesn't provide or am I just missing something obvious?

Thanks

Hi,

When the bluetooth is on for both devices, I can see my phone in the file manager. There is a "BLUETOOTH" icon in the list.

I just click on it and the entire contents of my phone in there. I can drag the file to SD card or N800.

Of course the devives are paired.

And I see yours are also paired and BT turned on.

I see my phone in the file manager but it doesnt show any files. I'm assuming that my phone (a940) doesn't support file exchange via bluetooth.

It supports the following profiles: HSP, HFP, DUN, OPP, FTP, BPP version 1.2 / FTP profile supports client mode

What profile does the n800 use for the file manager browser?

Thanks

FWIW, I've sent pictures from Sony-Ericsson camera phones to my N800 without problems. I just select a picture on the phone and select send via BT, it finds the N800 while scanning (if set to visible), and there's a pop-up on the N800 where I can choose to ignore, save or save+show.
The devices don't have to be paired. In fact while sitting here in the office the N800 suddenly received a picture from someone on the floor below me.. must have selected the wrong destination. I don't know what kind of phone that was. Anyway there's still the pop-up so it's not like you're open to being spammed with stranger's pictures..
