Hi everyone,

My big day arrived yesterday when Nokia sent me a Nokia N900 (free) long story.

Anyway Im hoping that someone can help me, save me having to search the forum, as these questions should be easy for you experts.

1) Firstly, gmail was working last night in my home Wifi, now im in work, i have added the wep key etc and no errors but gmail wont fetch new emails ? Any ideas, not getting any errors.

2) Facebook integrated chat, now that Facebook is actually integrated into contacts, I have tried to add my facebook details so that i can chat, i.e. myname@chat.facebook.com but nothing works, invalid user name or password no matter what i try, any ideas ?

3) Does Ovi suite support N900 yet, keeps saying no ?

4) Can I get an app to post and update my facebook and twitter status from the desktop ?

Thanks, hopefully you can help me searching.

Cheers

Colm

www.facebook.com/username should give you your username. If you havent created one the create it.

Ovi Suite support is coming soon.

N900 has the best browser so just bookmark your FB/Twitter page and update

No apps for that atm, sorry.

2 check the auto capitialisation. Not tried the integrated facebook chat myself but a lot of the time when i have had authentication errors is been because the first letter auto capitalises.

3 not yet.

4 there are apps available in extras. facebrick is good for facebook. dont use twitter but have seen a few apps around.

E. the facebrick app and twitter ones are in the evil repos.

This is what i have done, so i now have two work Wifi spots, both working as i can view the web with them.

But i can see two unread emails on my PC gmail but they wont come down to the phone even manually hitting send/receive

Its very strange.

Try deleting the account and freshly installing it.
