is the N800 and os 2007 can host usb harddrive ?

Not usb, but if you find a harddrive that fits in a SD frame, you might be in business.

While we are on the topic of hard drives, do the n770 or n800 support external networked hard drives? How cool would it be to have access to 80GB of mp3's, videos, etc via wifi. Is it doable?

There are numerous ways of doing this w/out a network hd. Orb, tversity, cifs, samba, etc... I am assuming you can connect to a network hd, too.

I was referring to a portable external drive that could be used without a PC or Mac. How does one do this with orb, etc...?

Oh, never mind...I get it. You mean one can upload stuff to a server and then stream it back down. I've done this with my tunes on MP3tunes.com's Oboe software for my 770. Only problem is: no internet connection=no tunes.

oh - you mean on the go... hrm... didn't some company make a portable bluetooth hd?
