I believe other synbian devices already use this QT, I also assume that ovi maps is not open like the OS itself since the majority of the phone functions Nokia put on it such as the conversations etc. are closed. I am not sure if I am correct but I will remain sceptical untill a good theory pops up.

Qt on symbian is new. The n900 is the first Nokia phone with Qt 4.6 so I doubt any other symbian has it.

As for Ovi maps on the n8, I doubt it is in Qt. It would be a lot easier to use the default symbian version with the launch date being so close. I think our Ovi Maps should get voice Nav when the MeeGo phone launch is close since ours is in Qt (I think)

Then I stand corrected. But I doubt symbian Ovi Maps is in Qt. If it was, it would be ridiculously stupid of nokia not to put it on the n900
