i am trying to package a theme and i am getting this error:

sbox-FREMANTLE_ARMEL: ~/MyDocs] > fakeroot dpkg -i shrek_0.1_all.deb

Does anyone know where it come from?

This should have been posted in design or development.

It sounds like you have broken/bad/missing scripts in your debian directory of your packaged theme.

sorry for posting it in the wrong section. Is there any tutorial for creating or packaging a theme to a deb file? i didn't find anything....

How did you create the theme? The theme maker program developer (Kontori?) was going to provide a way to do so. I don't know if he has, yet.

i just took the alpha theme and i modified it....i found on the internet how to put it in a deb file but for some reson i have got the error above and i don't know what to do...kind of stuck..

Short of learning the debian package system yourself and making up packaging, your best bet is to start with a theme that's already packaged and modifying it, or finding a collaborator.

Matrix theme is the only one i know of but i'm sure there are others.

I have the SDK installed so i'm not that familiar with how to handle packaging in the absence thereof. In SDK i'd just apt-get source matrix, modify as needed, dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot the new package, and upload to the autobuilder...
