I'm wondering if setting the location in the IM status does drain a lot of battery. Does it always locate using GSM or it might use GPS? How often does it check the location?

Also, on my status it shows my town and the country. For example: Barcelona, SPAIN.

Everybody knows that Barcelona is in Spain, at least among my IM contacts. Is it possible to remove SPAIN from my status?
