SO, if you have been paid for some app and you have downloaded it 5x. The Ovi store will lock it (you will see "Buy" even you have done it already) and you have to pay it again! Even you have a receipt! Oh my god! You need to have the right to use the program, which you have paid! I mean right???

Nokia support said to me: "this is not possible to unlock it, only thing you can do is buy it again". :O previously it has been successful enough, so why not anymore?

Is the Nokia store the worst online store in the world?????? This is not way to treat paying customers! So, best way to use pirate bay and try to send money to the developers by the letter (joke)??

If I'm not wrong they have raised the download count to 10, but I'm with you, having a limited numbers of downloads available for purchased contents is silly. Users who tink their devices and need to reflash often reach those caps very fast.

whenever i've had that issue i either purchase the app again if its a nominal amount or i email to nokia support and tell them after my phone was sent to nokia care my apps are missing and i'm having this issue...the latter always works out...

P.S. don't tell them you flashed the phone as then they really become a pain...

Why do they lock paid apps after xx times of downloads?

We need something like Titanium backup for the N9 then the issue is solved.

Regards Dousan...

Can't you just keep a copy of the installed apps from the ovi store?

As long as you don't start distributing the files to others, it should still be legal, right?

What different it make? I bought it, so they have to make the way to me to MY app! There is no point of online non physical data, if i have not access all the time.. Why anyone buy online anything if they ruing it that way? example, i bought Starcraft 2 and it is dvd, wooow i can install it how many time i like to my pc. That is normal, ovi store way to do it, is not!

If i install all HD games on my N9. There is no room for the new one.. so i HAVE TO remove old games and maybe reload them later if i want to use/play them later? So 5x download limit shrink very fast...

I going to call the "consumer Protection" (kuluttaja-asiamies) on Monday.

I dont agree with this policy, but its a very usual situation for appstores. Playstation Network uses this policy too, so its not something unique to OVI. And, iirc, its stated in the term and conditions of ovi, so you could have known in advance.

what i am saying is basically giving you another way for you to ensure that they make YOUR app available to YOU by you telling them you sent it to Nokia Care, your apps are missing and now you want to download them...then they do open it up for you...i think you've got me wrong...
