It looks like UKs Ordnance Survey has put a lot of its maps up in digital form in a new initiative called OS OpenData:

The default viewer seems to download tiles from a server, much in the way that Maemo Mapper requires.

Has anybody worked out a way to use this new source. OS maps are incredible!

They took their time but it's nice to see this happening at last. I still have an old ipaq with MemoryMaps' OS stuff installed - it's great when you're not quite sure where a public footpath crosses a field.
