Hi, I have a problem that never heard from anyone before. When i send or receive files the progress of the transfer on the status window shows up, but doesnt make any progress... The file is sent/received succesfully after some time though... I think about reflashing when pr 1.2 is out , but i would like to avoid it if possible.

(Tried with and without petrovich, I even uninstalled it to be sure. Also tried with wifi connected, disconnected, or disabled with wifi switcher)

By the way, on reflashing the files on the n900 memory (the 32gb one) are deleted? I flashed it once, the files didnt get deleted and i was wondering why they didnt...

Thank you for your time if you read it

There were some bugs in earlier firmware around this. The progress bar showed up but was either totally empty or full. The actual file-sending still works, though.

AFAIK these were fixed in PR1.1, so if you've got an older version of the firmware than that, then an upgrade should help you. PR1.2 will contain the fix too, when it's out.

Thanks for replying! I have the latest version though, so i guess i will just have to wait till pr 1.2 is out and see if that fixes it

Oh, and to answer your second question, reflashing the OS (Maemo) doesn't affect the contents of the rest of the phone - it just rewrites a small section (partition). That's why after a reflash, all of your pictures, music etc. are still there.

However, reflashing the OS won't fix some kinds of problems, and so it's possible to reflash everything else, too. That's called reflashing the eMMC, and there are instructions on the Wiki in the usual place.

Although: BEWARE THAT FLASHING THE EMMC WILL DELETE ALL YOUR EXISTING DATA.

Wow thank you again for your time ! Well if the next update doesn't fix it i will reflash it without taking huge backups of my files again like i did last time (I hope that will solve it and i wont have to flash the eMMC) .
