hi

i started open office word file and from the menu on the top went into Format and then in styles and formating . now i am not able to get out to my word file i am not able to close the syles and formatting menu niether minimise it

can someone help how to get out of this
i have attached a screenshot

you are inside LXDE or you are running it with debbie?

Unfortunately, I think you'll need to kill it and then delete the contents of:

/home/user/openoffice.org/

This doesn't happen when using it inside LXDE.

yes it does not happen in lxde

can you please tell me what i need do becuase i am able to kill the open office session but when i start Oo again it still gets stuck in the menu instead of starting a new word doc for editing. It looks as if the session is still open is the memory

According to this, you can toggle full-screen by using Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Space.

i dont think it is a problem with full screen but the menu item itself which automatically starts when i start a new open office session

i have solved this guys you need to run set deb hardware keys and press the fn and simultaneously the arrow key below that and then left arrow key. this acts like a esc key

Sorry, I thought once you were out of fullscreen mode, it would be possible to simply close the menu. But good to see you still got it to work!
