Who else has very strong latches on their Nokia-provided micro-usb cable ? Mine appears to require an unusual amount of force to unplug for such a small device. I can hang the entire phone off the cable and move it up and down and it won't let go. Tried a different cable from a Samsung phone and that one you can yank off much easier.

I pushed the latches back in a little bit and it's gotten better. I'm not surprised so many people have seen their USB port snatched off by the cable; it seems it's as much a problem with poor anchoring on the board as with the cable connector latching onto it with a death grip.

be careful...mine was the same until i used the pc usb cable which was even worse (to reflash) and as an end result, my micro usb is now loose and dodgy and I struggle to get a recharging/pc connection.
