Hey

Is there a way i can edit labels in contacts?

Its like Many of my friends have more than 3 different numbers with different mobile providers, it would be easy for me to indentify to which number i m calling to if i can edit the label to these providers name, right now i get confused myself with the labesl Cell, Cell work, cell home etc

if i can edit the labels i would be editing it like this Cell AT&T, Cell Orange Cell Vodafone etc.

I could do this on my prevously owned Symbian

Attaching a screen shot so u knw wat i mean and my struggle to figure out the exact number to call my buddies

Thanks
TOM

Renaming of labels, as far as I know can't be done on the N900. Label names are not saved in vcard .vcf files and therefore can't be transfered to another device, this could be why it's not commonly done.

Save a ladel modified contact vcard from your symbian device and you will see no ladel name, the vcard format just doesn't support it. Annoying I know, you'll have to save each contact multiple times if the three options aren't enough or try to learn the different numbers.

What is more annoying, there is a vcard standard, but phone manufactures all treat it differently with the fields they will support.
