The problem I have is that when I want to send an sms, instead of choosing from the list I usually just write like the first 2 letters of the first name and last name. Ex If I want to send to " John Doe " I just write " jo do " in the " to " screen and it finds it.
Now after 1.2 it finds some that way but on others it says " no contact with that name could be found ".
Anyone else have this problem?

i think i knw why this is happening. the person ur trying to send sms , his number should be saved as mobile and not as phone, as with 1.2 u wont see an option sms for phone no's it will only for mobile no.s

Njoy !

Nope, doesn't seem to be the problem.
It was as " cell " and I changed it to " phone " then back again to see if there was some kind of bug, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

I am almost sure it is related to letters case sensitivity.
Examining your contact, and try searching it with the proper case, if it works, it means we have a case-sensitivity bug.

Hi
go to contacts, click on button at top of screen and select settings, make sure Display SMS only for Mobile Numbers is unchecked.

Should work now
