Hi

Nokia Messaging on my N900 is only showing the last 100 e-mails from my Gmail account.

Is there any way I can increase this?

Thanks

Not that I know, but you can download the next 100 mails from the menu IIRC.

Nokia Messaging only shows the last month worth of emails. So after a month it self delete from your phone but not the email server.

Unfortunately that's the limitation on Nokia Messaging service as a whole for now. Reference here 2010 Winter Update

I wish Nokia make the duration of history confiugrable... it was configurable in the early 2009 but then got shrunk to 3-day around Sep 2009 then to 100 mails in Feb 2010.

As I commented back then on the Nokia Messaging blog post, the irony of this limitation is that whenever you delete one of your 100 emails, then it downloads again email #101 which it just deleted - what a waste! Especially annoying when that older email was unread, so you end up being notified twice.

All this said, I tried configuring my gmail account directly within the email client, but it would not be half as reliable as Nokia Messaging. If only they allowed users to:
- choose how many emails / days worth of emails to keep on the device
- choose whether to automatically download pictures & attachments

But they don't seem to be receptive - and given it's a server-based service, and not a software for the N900, it's harder to push the issue to the developers...
