Hi,

Does anyone know how to install the OVI Maps 3.01 on nokia n900? I tried using a Map Loader on windows 7 but it does not reconize my phone at all.

Regards,

RR

Ovi Maps 3 is Symbian app. Doesn't work on N900.

Indeed. I mean you can't even get the thing to scroll the map following your path unless you already plotted a route to somewhere. That's plain silly.

Also, why is it when I choose sattelite view it doesn't actually show me the sattelite view? Not to mention how cyptic the whole interface is, I have no idea what the bloody icons mean its so counter-intuitive.

There is not a single good thing I have to say about it which is insane.

I only see satellite imagery once I zoom out several levels. I believe that the satellite imagery is very limited. Perhaps they will acquire better data in the future.

Is it possible that with the new Qt version that PR1.2 brings us, ovi can be ported mroe easily to maemo? maybe they're already working on it right now.

Just speculating about ovi maps, version 1.00 isn't any good and free voice guided navigation is not a small deal to many users here. Symbian already got version 3.02 or so. The disabled children of mother Nokia always get more attention than the bright ones, you know what I mean.

So now we have PR1.2 and the Ovi maps are still pretty crap, especially when offline, what are we to do now?

We have the top of the range Nokia phone, we want the latest Ovi Maps 3 please!
