Is there a way to command a restart media demons in the xterminal. for example a friend of mine has corrupted video files and when they crash he needs to restart the whole device in order to play videos again.

When installing apps you sometimes see restarting media demons. can this be done by hand?

the command would be

Code:
killall <process>
and if you need to start it again manually, just type the name of the process into the command line
