I look at unmatched contacts and when I try to manually add the person, their name doesn't appear on my facebook friends list through Hermes even though they're my friends on Facebook. Certain contacts that have been updated, however, still have blank pictures on my contacts or their not even updating their pictures at all. What gives?

Interesting. That could be a bug, or it could be a privacy setting on Facebook which prevents you exposing their details to third party applications.

Birthdays and photos can be prevented from being shared with third party apps. This is probably what is happening. Ask your friends to loosen their privacy settings for you.
