Here is Kevin Allen from China. To be honestly, I think I need a very brief introduction to you. Actually I am a crazy mobile phone user since 1999, and my true work is a professional technical English interpretor and translator related with some IT ,Games and Engineering. I have been foucing on the site of maemo more than one and a half years. Firstly, I am willing to see the same blog or just a simple page could be set up in our China, however, we did not see it appear.


For what I have seen in China, I can find that Maemo is becoming more and more popular and somehow crazy for us maemo phone users since it came out, and you can see maemo phone such as Nokia N900 is spreading so fast in our China and its phone users are becoming larger and larger. So this is a very brief view that Maemo is becoming much more popular and crazy in our China.

What I think it is unfortunately that there is not such a site as same as maemo.org provide some much exciting and useful information to our Chinese users about its all information and such a talk platform. So that is why I raise my idea about set up a certain Chinese version blog or site under Maemo.org to do it as a Chinese version. I think it will be a such big surprise for us, so many, so crazy Maemo phone users that they can get such a site or blog that they read and enjoy so plenty of news, articles or other kind of things about Maemo.


As a crazy Maemo phone user and an English translator more than 2 years, I think I can and willing to start some process with my idea here. However, I think I do need your help and your team approval. Please do not worry that I want to ask any reward for all of these work, I just want to do this for so many so crazy Maemo phone users in our China. I am looking forward that I can get much more detail information from you that how we could get this idea start. Thank you very much.

1. i will call and try to organize somoe volunteer translator team for this work


2. May need your help to set up the sub-site for its Chinese version


3. May set some domain as cn.maemo.org for the Chinese version

Yes, I have known that site about a half year ago, but seemed that it was inactive and no admin was active for the site.
