Hallo everyone!

Is there any way to make the N900 to skip tracks and/or pause music with the hands free button?

It is very handy and all new phones support this.

Thanx in advance!

N900 supports A2DP/AVRCP and thus, can be controlled by compatible Bluetooth device (hands free). Works for me with Plantronics Voyager 855, although sometimes it skips more than one track and the sound sometimes stutters... Hope these problems will be resolved soon.

I confirm my car hands free nicely controls the N900 as well.
The stuttering happens somethings, it's related to the phone doing other things as well (high cpu).

Yes I have read that it works with bluetooth hands free.

However I mean if it works with the included cable hands free (WH-205)

The specific hands free has 2 buttons, but none of them controls music. Its only to answer/end a call.

Is there a "fix" about this anywhere?

it works for me too, but you have to remove it from your pocket so that you can shake it hard.

If I can handle taking it on my hands I can skip the track from the device.

(at first I thought I was missing something and someone here would tell me "stupid guy the function is there and you are blind" but things are getting serious...)

Its not so much that you have to shake it hard but the proximity sensor has to be clear. I am writing to the author for an option to disbale the sensor detection to allow skipping songs while in pockets etc

Actually, it's due to the conflict between Bluetooth and Wifi - when using both, they have to share the antenna. There is a bug open for it...

Is there any bluetooth remote control? A very basic one, like with play/pause/next/back.... I couldn't find any on the web that doesn't include the phone functionality of the headsets or the car-kits with speakers and such.

I like shake2control... but I think I would be even better to replace the functionality of the lock button, the volume, or the camera with play/next while playing music
