I use N900 and tried to run 'FCam example 1' here below:
http://fcam.garage.maemo.org/gettingStarted.html
Please search 'Build example 1' to find out what I mentioned.

But my Qt Creator's Application Output is:
==================================
Cleaning up remote leftovers first ...
Initial cleanup done.
Starting remote application.

Error: Error opening /dev/video0: 13
==================================

Does anyone know why and how to solve it?

Note: Before that I installed HDR Capture, FCamera and my current fcamera driver version should be 1.0.6-1.
Thanks!

I don't solve the problem. But I found that I can copy the compile result 'example1_0.1_armel.deb' to N900 and install it on N900, then run the executive file to get the same effect.

I'm having the same issue. Has anyone gotten the examples to work on the n900 at all?

I used my scratchbox envirionment to build the example.
The FREMANTLE_X86 target can not compile (linker error).
The FREMANTLE_ARMEL target build fine.
The executable works on my N900.

I finally solved the problem.
The reason is that I didn't get 'root' right to access my N900 when running the FCAM application. BTW, I used Mad Developer for the connection setup.

The detailed steps are below:

on N900
# Mad Developer -> Developer Xterm ->
sudo gainroot
passwd root
# Change the password of root account

on PC
# Qt Creator -> Maemo Device Configurations -> username: root, Password: the new one
