can some kindhearted member spare me the trouble of browsing thru the myriad of pages? please i just want to know what this ohmd process running on my n900 24 hrs a day? i didn't see this before. what application do i need to uninstall to remove this? thanks a bunch!

"Open Hardware Manager is a small open source system policy daemon which sits above HAL and abstracts out common hardware management tasks such as controlling heat dissipation on embedded devices." It does a bit more than that thread mentions, so disabling it might not be the greatest idea.
