Hi M.Community,

Just to start with,If this problem has been solved before hand in previous threads, please direct me to the exact threads, because I've been pondering web pages looking for a solution for my problem for a while a while now.
So basically some applications fro app manager are not installing for missing dependencies.
For example whenever I try to install 3D earth, through app manager it responds with 'UNABLE TO INSTALL 3D EARTH. SOME APPLICATION PACKAGES REQUIRED FOR THE INSTALLATION ARE MISSING'
I get this same sort of message when I also example try to install 'Xscreensavers' for LIVE WALLPAPERS.
I'am not completely sure but I think its a problem with some exrta repositories, because even though I already have all the required catalogues activated such as MAEMO EXTRAS, MAEMO EXTRAS-TESTING, EXTRAS DEVEL...etc.
Despite that this problem still persists. Would much appreciate the help, I want to solve this problem once and for all. Thank you in advance.

Using a more relevant (and less obnoxious) thread title would be a good start.

110% is impossible. 110/100? if you're having troubles meeting dependencies, then your device is likely far too cluttered or butchered to troubleshoot. I'd suggest flashing to latest stock (including emmc), starting fresh and seeing if your dependency resolution changes. If not, you're most likely installing things that are conflicting each other. Start by installing the package you want most, then keep installing applications until one package breaks something you had working. The first step to successful troubleshooting is eliminating all obvious possibilities.

Indeed, stop shouting and keep calm and you'll get much better help here.

Go to Xterm.

Become root:
Code:
root
Install package:
Code:
apt-get install earth
Report here the output.

PS the 3D earth app is hardly wasting your time on. You'll play with it for 30 seconds then never again...

Code:
apt-get install earth -f
Add -f to fix dependencies.

Having -devel (and to a lesser extent -testing) enabled may actually be causing a problem.
