can we have visual studio the mobile version for nokia n900 ?

You can write C++ in whatever you like really, though I doubt there's an actual 'Visual Studio' port to Linux let alone to ARM architecture.

You could always write in VS and transfer your build to the N900.

The closest dev environment I've found on Unix is Eclipse (Look for the C++ version). I wouldn't want to run it on the N900, but if you have a scratchbox area setup on a real machine, it would be a nice way to dev into it.

I believe MADDE also has a gui front end available, does it not?

You can use Visual Studio to make Qt apps and then try to compile them for Maemo. Might be easier to just use Qt-Creator though.

I dont know about you guys but Eclipse would be a nightmare on the N900.

No kidding. It's a nightmare on my netbook, let alone the N900. I prefer Netbeans myself.

ok, Eclipse = bad

How about another graphical IDE avaiable for N900?
