I can send files by bluetooth from my N900 to another phone or PC, but I can't receive any unless I'm using PC Suite. My device is visible and has a bluetooth name and all other devices are on my 'authorised/trusted' list:
***From a PC (WinXP/SP2):
when I right-click a picture (.jpg to keep it simple) and select 'Send To > Bluetooth > Other > Refresh > select my phone name > OK'
As long as the screen on the N900 is active, the bluetooth icon goes blue (=connection made) and the PC's pop-up shows 'creating FTP connection', but then it stops and gives an error 'Error Copying File' and the blue indicator goes back to white on the phone. Sometimes it just stops and gives the error 'File Transfer Service not found on device'
***From another phone (e.g. Nokia 5800)
other phone selects to send via bluetooth, the bluetooth indicator on the N900 goes blue but then I get an error 'Receiving Cancelled'
