After updating to 1.3 it appears my home directory is completely full according to the app manager and Conky (which shows 56MB free out of 2gig).

I'm assuming home is /home/opt?

Nokia-N900-51-1:~# du -h -d 1 /home
16.0k /home/lost+found
8.0k /home/.apt-archive-cache
18.7M /home/home
1.2G /home/opt
11.9G /home/user
13.1G /home

Theres around 600 Mb unaccounted somewhere if it is?

Just wondering how did you update.. using PC Suite?

And have you tried to reflash by using the flasher 3.5?

I upgraded OTA using fapman as the application manager refused to do it without the Nokia update software.

What does df -h report?

Edit: note that your use of du is inconclusive. The big partition is mounted at /home/user/MyDocs, so anything you've put directly in /home/user will fill up the 2GB partition. Currently you're only seeing the total for *everything* under /home/user.

I'm asking myself if I should reformate the n900 following to maemo wiki:

The little partiton (2GB) for multimedia
The big partition for the system.

Thanks jnwi, that makes more sense. I'll see what I can do about clearing up space now,

not too sure how to go about cleaning anything up actually...

The programs i have installed shouldn't really add up to 2 gig.

Would running

e2fsck -v /dev/mmcblk0p2

be a good idea to clean up loose ends?

You'd need to unmount it first, which is tricky, and it probably wouldn't help anyway. Use either the StorageUsage app, or "du -hsx" to drill down to find which directory is taking up all the space.

That still only adds up to 1.2G, I think I might be forced to reflash it seems. Something's gone wrong somewhere in the update.

Unless theres a way to roll back and reinstall 1.3.

The keyboards keys don't light up anymore when open either...
