I don't own a HTC HD2 but the porting scene is quite admirable. Can't wait to see how it goes.

Will be interesting to see MeeGo running on snapdragon and on that big screen, but other than that i doubt it will be actually usable.

Damn, I just found out that the HD2 got a fully functioning Android port before us. That just makes me sad. I thought Windows being closed source, getting drivers for GSM/GPS etc working would not be easy, but they seems to have done it before us. Come-on Nitdroid Team, surprise us!

The biggest problem will continue to be graphics drivers. If they get over that hurdle I'll be impressed.

Personally, I would prefer to see meego on C7 or N8. I do not understand why no one is trying to do it. May be nokia will do it by it self later.

Who needs android now? We can install games from webos now and we have a lot of software ported from desktop linux. I don't even see a need to upgrade to MeeGo now. Maybe only for flash 10 and only if it's going to use hardware acceleration. And we can probably just copy paste flash ".so" file from Meego into maemo and problem solved when it's gonna be available.

As cool as NITDroid is, I find myself caring a little bit less as the weeks pass and my love affair with Maemo becomes more passionate.

A colleague of mine had the HD2 dual-booting with Android (don't know if it was 2.1 or 2.2); claimed gps, calls etc. work like they should on the "real" thing. He mentioned fully-functioning Ubuntu also, but hadn't tried it. The HD2 looks pretty slick, and with Android on it, it smoothly transforms to an EVO4.

The more dev's from other platforms dabble into dual/multibooting, the quicker us commoners get to play with those OS's, so I say have at it XDAers, bring on the MeeGo and slap it back our way after your tweaks!
