I would try to install Easy Debian, then try installing Tux Guitar for it, would probably need to recompile it to the ARM platform, but it should run... I dont know about MIDI support, but im not getting my N900 before next week.

Please say if it worked

Man, if something like this could happen, I would pay some decent money to see a version (or even a mod?) for Chapman Stick...

Keeping a close eye on this one.

You can define arbitrary instruments in tuxguitar so you should be able to do chapman stick tabs, and it will open guitar pro files.

It's java based. I haven't tried it in my chroot yet but will when I get a chance.

Unfortunately tux guitar is written in java.

KGuitar maybe? The project seems a bit dead though.

Try installing Easy_Debian, then install Tux Guitar inside chroot or what its called, (sorry, I'm still waiting for my N900, I would make a guide if I had one and got it to work)
