I was searching for a tutorial on how to install Ubuntu/Debian on n900 and be able to boot it using uboot and found this https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/n900.

What's interesting about it, is that it uses the kernel modules and kernel from MeeGo. (2.6.37... instead of 2.6.28.. from maemo)

I tried to install it following this manual, but gave up in the middle.
Probably going to attempt again in the future.

What I don't understand, is why can't someone just release the whole flashcard image to torrents and then link it somewhere.(wiki, forums, etc) Is it because the final "product" has proprietary parts?

Have you tried this one?

Seems more friendly.
I haven't tried it as I don't own a Class 6 or 10 SDHC, but I'm seriously thinking about gettting one...
Have you read this thread before?

It's good this still keeps going.
