I have started a bug report for the untrusted certificate issue discussed in the Orb threads.

bug # 1268

please vote for it, if you also have this issue.

Much thanks Johsua!

Maybe we need a poll on the problem, along with input from device owners on the occurance (applications, web sites, frequency, etc).

I've only encountered the certificate issue on the maemo site, so far.

I've encountered it on eBay as well, and superfrenchie.com . I've not visited these on the N800 before, so I don't know if this is a new problem or not.

Would be nice to be able to 'always trust' a certificate too. Opera/Maemo cert handling is as restricted as IE/Mac's

PS that Bugzilla entry is naturally unviewable on the N800 too. Catch 22! Likewise with Red Hat's bugzilla. eBay's the only one so far that even started loading, before the infinite cert warning loop starts

I've rebooted n800 3 times and still get the untrusted certificate endless loop on garage.maemo.org - rebooting always seemed to fix before, now no way to get in??

The same thing happens when trying to connect to EarthLink's "Feather" WiFi network. The free access promoted on the Tableteer site does not work because of this.
