Hi!

Couldn't find any solution to this problem with the search option or with google.

So, is it possible to keep the FM transmitter constantly on so that when the navigation program (Sygic) isn't guiding me and no voice is going to the radio the N900 would not turn the FM transmitter off itself and would keep the signal on.

Please try to understand what im saying 'cause my english isn't the best.

I play all my music through FM Transmitter to my car stereo, Sygic just pauses the music anytime it needs to give me directions then resumes playing my music when its done.
Works for me

Theres no need to, music plays through transmitter and Sygic mutes it automatically when there is a turn or whatever....

I dont think you can set the transmitter on permanently as far as i know it times out after a short while of not sending anything. I remember reading a workaround someone was using on here of playing a 'blank' music file on a loop, 'tricking' the transmitter into staying on. Would probably work? although surely that means you cant have any music in your car??

That's a shame because if I have to concentrate on listening on the guiding of the navigator there can't be any music on the middle of the guiding or I get confused and I drive to the wrong place

Guess I have to try this when I'm driving in the city and I need navigation. The music in the background won't disturb me when driving outside of town.

Would be great if nokia or someone here could come up with a better solution for this problem. It would make life a bit more easier again

Try using Sygic and music at the same time, it works well! Sygic mutes your music and gives you the directions quite loudly and clearly through your stereo and then carrys on playing the music. I dont think you will have any trouble with the directions...

only problem with sygic with me is that it doesnt keep the phone unlocked even whilst navigating (and the option to keep backlight on checked in sygic), since i have an autolock enabled on the phone to lock after 5 minutes of inactivity.any ideas please?
