Is the polarity of the jack adjustable via software? I've noticed that the Left/Right is reversed when listening directly from the headphone jack of the N900 - something that I've done very, very rarely so far due to the lack of a decent wired remote.

I just happened to crank up the N900 today while having a headphone directly plugged in, and noticed that the channels were reversed. Tried a track in QSpot, same. Via Bluetooth - fine. So I can only blame the jack.

It happens to me occasionally and is solved by removing the headphones and restarting media player.

It's difficult to get left and right wrong on a Beyerdynamic Tesla T1 - the drivers are asymmetrically angled

You're right! WTH? That's not really a fix. Well it might be under OSS, but this is silly. Is there a permanent fix?

Unlikely, media player is closed source

Its not just in media player - so it must be an OS issue...? I mean that when Media Player is playing on flipped channels, so is anything else using audio.

Or is it that Media Player itself somehow globally flips the stereo channels?

Is this not a big deal for discussion? Searches for 'stereo wrong' 'stereo reverse' doesn't turn up a lot.
