i got a strange problem
when i dpkg some packages to my maemo in one moemnt X-Terminalgive my strange message
root's PATH should usually contain /usr/local/sbin , /usr/sbin and /sbin
then i restarted n900 and i got some ( i dont know) errors for example. my clock go to the text wdgt_va_24h_time
setting text in menu now get named to copa_ap_cp_nam
ovi store now get named tana_ap_ovi_stor etc.
now my question
how to repair that???

Did you change your /etc/passwd lately to use bash or bash3 for root ???
If you did at least make sure the home directory to be /root.

i dont change there anything
but when i go back from school i check this folder whether this folder is there or something.
one more thinks
when i checking sbin folders i noticed one thing
/usr/local/sbin is empty
It must be empty?

there are not any /etc/passwd
ok i have simple question
how to reinstall maemo?
if i reinstall maemo on my n900 i lost my warranty???

edit:
ok i have serious problem
i must reflash them
i check my "about device":

Nokia N900
Maemo 5
about_ia_version 10.2010.19-1
about_ia_bluetooth_adres
about_ia_imei

i dont see my own imei ...
i dont know whats a pr i have
do you know whats a PR i have???
and if I can reflash them???

Have you install packages from extra-devel repository ?

no i just install gcc for armel

sorry for (i think) thiZ unless topic but at first moment i dont think about flashing my nokia
but i dont have any choice

Just reflash it.... You won't need your IMEI using maemo flasher... Or if you really wan't your IMEI look at the back of your n900... Below the battery

And oh... Nope you won't lose warranty by reflashing.
