ok my battery life when connected to wifi is amazing i can get like 24 hours on it on standby....

on gprs im lucky to get 5 hours on standy!

does anyone notice this on their phone or is mine screwed?

I can have my phone of wifi in standby for, let's say, almost 2 days(very little use)
On gprs i can get at least a day with little use.

strange, i use a lot more battery with wifi on than with gprs on...
but i have wifi power saving on medium.

oh right seems there is a problem with mine then! is there a way to check what is draining the batt so much?

im having the same problem. i can leave the device on wifi over a day but drains out in about 5-6 hours on grps. im using it with tmobile USA's data plan

Switch it to 2g mode. Hunting for 3g is a battery killer.
I find if I get a solid 3g connection it's not too bad but when the phone's switching back and forth, that's when it really hits your battery.

yea ive got it on 3g mode and im sittin on my desk at work!i tried switching to 2g mode and it still kills the bat just the same
