Hello.
I tried looking this up from the forums and got no similar topics (so far). Now, some users of the newly promoted app, cl-launcher, noticed that is has some bugs. Not a big deal, just push the new update out, right? Well, not quite so in this case.
You see the developer is not active, at the moment, at least on the thread and there's one very, very critical bug, that might still be active. That's the reboot-loop. Yeap. That bug is reproduced by uninstalling the app and I, for one, am not quite sure I want to try and see whether or not this bug will happen. There's also apparently some kind of bug with the kernel, which has been reported but marked as invalid, since it was 3rd party issue (I assume that the entry had been made for 1st party).
I've tried to contact the developer via private message (of course, I've ticked the box "request read mark"/etc) and it's been only few days so I'm still waiting. However, my question is this : since there is no entry for the cl-launcher in the bugs.maemo.org and there doesn't seem to be bug-reports could the application be demoted for now back to the -Testing?
The app itself works just great, so yes, it does work as advertised and in that sense, it should stay in the Extras but since there is quite critical bug in there, the reboot-loop (please remember that it is possibly in there, there is no verification so far) I think it should be demoted, for now.
There also hasn't been (as far as I know) anyone to take over the source-code and fix the bugs. I'd do that but since I'm no coder, I can't.
Thanks in advance.

It might not be in bugs.maemo.org but it does have a bug tracker according to the package page
Package page
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...auncher/0.2-4/
Bug tracker

EDIT 26/01/11 : The app got an update and it's pushed to the -Testing. Thus I pull back my request to demote this app.
