My thoughts:
Instead of buying an expensive (and sometimes insecure) usb flash drive with hardware encryption, we could use our N900.

I use dm-crypt (on the SD card) I find it much easier than TC.

How are you going to authenticate the host PC? Seems a bit moot otherwise, if all an attacker has to do is find a USB cable.

We don't have to authenticate the host PC. To mount your volume, you have to enter your TC pw on the N900. The host PC knows absolutely nothing about your password or even TrueCrypt. Everything will work like a normal flash drive or like MyDocs and mmc, but data will be encryped.

Or what do you mean by that?

I assumed the encrypted fs would be mounted while the device is on, if you mount/plug USB/do stuff/unplug/unmount it should be fine.
